The BHVS membership is on free will and its members are fully independent. There are three categories of membership: founder-members, members, and honorary members. New members are admitted after an application to the BHVS Advisory Council, where the applicant states that he/she accepts the BHVS Statute and would voluntary work under its regulations.

Lawyer, managing director in international project financing. His main interests are history of heraldic traditions in Bulgaria and in the Balkans, and the modern reflections of them.

Engineer, manager of an employment and customs agency and charity foundation. Interested in philately, bookplates and heraldry, and especially – in historical coats of arms. Awarded prices for portrait and experimental photography.

Vexillologist and historian. Former chief of one of the departments of the National Museum of Military History, colonel of the reserve. He is the author of the books: Bulgarian Military Flags and Banners, 1998, Flags of the States of the World, 2002, Symbols of Bulgaria: Arms, Flag, Anthem, 2004, and The Flags of Bulgarian Battle Glory, as well as, of many studies and articles on vexillology.

He is a Russian pupil. He has an undergraduate degree in Hotel Management and currently he is reading law at the University of the Witwatersrand, Johannesburg. Member of Golden Key International Honour Society. Apart from advocacy and heraldry, his interests include horseriding and polo, bookcollecting and calligraphy, and antiques.

A postgraduate study of fine art at the 'Willem de Kooning' Academy in Rotterdam, followed by MA Program of Philosophy in history of art, culture and religion at the University of Amsterdam (UvA) with several research specialisations at the Royal Dutch Institute (KNIR) in Rome and at the Dutch Institute of Art History (NIKI) in Florence. Curently is a PhD researcher at the Institute of European Culture and History, UvA. Explores the history of art and humanism at the papal and royal courts in Italy during the Renaissance and the Counter-reformation.

Historian – his maxim is that everything in life is history. Interested in the field of social sciences, as well as, heraldry, vexillology, municipal emblems, local and regional development, and administrative territorial divisions and their history.

President of the Croatian Heraldic and Vexillologic Association, active member and former vice-director of the Flags of the World, editor of CHVA bulletin "Grb i zastava" and the Flags and Arms of the Modern Era.
